Just Checkin’ In

I haven’t had the time or the inclination to do much blogging recently. April is a month of admin duties around here and, coupled with grad school (3 term papers due this month), I just haven’t felt like writing in my free time. But I wanted to post today, just for the sake of checking in.

It was nice to get away this weekend and visit some old friends in Kingsport, Tennessee. Sunny and I spent the first three years of our marriage ministering alongside the good people at the Northeast Church of Christ. We visited with our friends, the Stephensons, and met their one-year-old son, Caleb, for the first time. We also had the chance to visit with my college roommate, Matt, and his wife, Cecile. A very relaxing weekend.

To top it off, we stopped in Lebanon on our way home to witness my niece’s baptism. Hope has such a tender heart and it was a privilege to watch as she confessed Christ as her Lord in baptism. Beautiful.
