So I have about $40 in iTunes cards that is just burning a hole in my pocket. I’d like to sample some new music and I thought I’d ask for some suggestions. I just stumbled across The Gabe Dixon Band; I really like their sound. Anything you’re listening to that I should give a spin?

Robbie Seay Band, “Give Yourself Away”AE
We just downloaded some Gregorian Chants from the first century and some Medieval Troubadourian Sonnets from the 1400’s. Great stuff…kinda makes you want to beat your head repeatedly against a wall. Actually they were pretty soothing after a while. I start teaching my timeline of music class tomorrow at coop. Wha HOO!
Collective Soul “Shine”. It never gets old.
New Mercy Me CD has several songs on it that are great. Also listen to Steven Curtis Chapmans’ “Cinderella”.
I know you already know about these guys, but I’m digging The Avett Brother increasingly more each day I listen to them. I checked out a few tracks on their previous albums that have turned out to be good finds. Salvation Song is one of those.
How about some Weezer? Gotta love their stuff on the Green and Blue Albums.
Adam,I’d come across them on the Crowder album “B Collision” a few years back. I really like their sound. Do you recommend the whole album, or just some choice tracks?Tara,Sunny says enough of my music already makes her want to bang her head against a wall!
Lane,I thought about getting “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” but I didn’t have enough money. Want to go with me to the fountain in the mall?Kenny,I used to listen to a lot of Steven Curtis. Haven’t heard any of his stuff in a while; I’ll check out “Cinderella”.T.H.I thought you might like them. I have a playlist of Avett Bros & OCMS music that I love. I’ll check out “Salvation Song”.Jake,I have some old Weezer. I’ve listened to a few of the tracks from Rivers Cuomo’s solo disc, but nothing really struck me.
Jason,I really enjoy the whole Robbie Seay album, but particularly “Song of Hope”, “Love Wins”, “A New Day”, “Go Outside”, and “Rise”.AEP.S. I really liked their first album too, but this one is MUCH better.
…and, “Beautiful Scandalous Night,” “Shine your light on us”…oh forget it. Just get the whole thing.AE
