My all-time favorite record is being re-released this month with a 4 LP Deluxe Box Set complete with early demos and live versions alongside completely remastered tracks from the original recordings. Should be epic.

Jackson ran a half marathon over Labor Day weekend, the Boston or Bust half marathon down at Ditto Landing. He has been running for cross country, of course, but decided to add on this challenge as well. I am incredibly proud of him for posting this time — and for finishing in first place for his age group (age 19 and younger). Way to go, Jackson!

We dropped the twins off at college last week. I’d say we’re doing all right, all things considered.
But the Bybee who has had the most difficulty with this transition seems to be Dodger. After sleeping upstairs in Joshua’s room for the last two years, he’s having to adjust to a new “routine.” And it’s honestly wearing me out!
But evidently we love him. Our family text thread often consists of pictures of Dodger in various stages of cuteness.

Made a trip to Dallas, watched the Texas Rangers play in their beautiful new home, Globe Life Park. Air conditioning for the win!

One last mother / son trip to Busch Stadium to see the Cardinals play before this guy heads off to college.

A little different pose this year without Joshua and Abby Kate. But at least Dodger found his way into the picture.

I wrote this in the sand at the beach 10 years ago after we lost Sunny’s Dad. This line has become especially meaningful to me over the years. For my money, there is no better succinct summary of the Gospel.
