We have a great team photographer. Love how she captured Joshua’s emotion in this pic. Also love the maroon on white look. Definitely my favorite look for this team.

This helpful chart is from Neil Shenvi’s excellent book Why Believe?: A Reasoned Approach to Christianity. This one will definitely be making my end-of-the-year list.

A special Valentine I received from Darby, one of our precious little young ladies at church. I’ve preserved it under the glass on my desk so I can see it every day! Thank you, Darby!

Jackson had his first paying gig as a musician tonight, performing for the Valentine’s Banquet at the Lakewood Church of Christ. He played a mix of originals and classic love songs for the occasion. And the people were so kind, giving him a standing ovation at the end of his set. A very proud moment for me, especially because I know how hard Jackson works on his music. He’s always been creative, but he’s really found his niche these last few years as a composer, an instrumentalist, and now as a vocalist. I can’t wait to see how he continues to grow as an artist.

Last month, our baseball team took a quick trip to Santa Rosa, Honduras to work with our dear friends Jon and Stacy Stacy. We hosted a free baseball clinic to teach skills to local children in the community. It was a great trip. Here are some of the pictures and video.

Here are some photos from our trip to Israel, focusing on our time in Qumran, En Gedi, the Dead Sea, and Masada.

Just before we entered Jerusalem, we stopped by the Valley of Elah. Joshua and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw a few rocks in honor of David slaying Goliath.
