Procrastination

Why do I do this to myself? In addition to my duties as a husband, father and youth minister, I’m up against the clock to get all my grad school work turned in. I’ve been busting my hump this week to turn in 6 different term papers for my NT World course (due tomorrow) before I can get started on a 20-page practicum paper (due Monday). As if summer isn’t busy enough for a youth minister. Next time I sign up for summer classes, will one of you please slap me?

Currently playing on my iTunes: Little Victories by Matt Nathanson. One of my faves from Beneath These Fireworks. His voice reminds me of the Gin Blossoms guy a little.

I think that you already know how I feel about the whole grad school stuff. How long have you known about these papers? You have one long night ahead of you.

I do it all for you, honey. My goal is to be the most overqualified youth director on the planet. And don’t give me your “how long have you known about these papers” speech. I know what I’m doing.

Since when are you a youth “director”?

  4. Unknown's avatar Jason says:

I’m not just a youth director. I’m the junior high youth director.

come on, what’s the problem? All youth directors do is take trips and print off talk sheets. It’s not like you have a real job or anything.By the way, get Nathanson’s live album.

Does his live album contain material from Beneath These Fireworks?
