I’ve wanted to say this my whole adult life. The St. Louis Cardinals are World Champions. What a way to christen New Busch Stadium. Drink deeply, Cardinal Nation. 1982 was a long time ago. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait 24 years for another title. In the words of the immortal Jack Buck, “Go crazy, folks…go crazy.“
