Last week, Sunny and I had our 33 week ultrasound. It was awesome! We got to see the little guy; he’s got these chubby little cheeks and a headful of hair already! The picture above is a side shot of his head. If you look closely, you can make out the outline of his lips and his nose. Sunny says he has a big mouth like his Dad. I can’t wait for him to get here and meet everybody!
Sunny and I are still racking our brains to come up with a name for the little guy. We had a few contenders early on, but we’ve changed our minds and now we’re back to square one. Any suggestions? We’ve got about 4 weeks before Junior shows up. What are we gonna call him?!?
We’re working under the assumption that you’ve already ruled out Bobby or Billy. That leaves continuing the “J” theme. Possibilities include: Jonathon, Josiah, Jeffrey, Jeremiah, Jacob, Joseph, or Jedediah ( “Jed” for short).
Maybe something like Ozzie, or Don, or Hank, a good baseball name.
Daniel, Zachary, Ronnie, or any other names of former Dolphin greats always are at the top of my list.
Is that a 4-D picture? If not, it really is a great normal ultrasound pic! I’m sorry I can’t be of any help on the names; we’re having troubles of our own trying to choose.
Jamey, it’s just a normal ultrasound picture. It’s really good, isn’t it? I normally can’t make out what’s what in those pics, but this one is pretty clear.I hope you guys have a better time picking out a name than we have. Do you know what you’re having yet? Or is it too early?Lane, one of the names we bandied around was a baseball name. You would’ve liked it for sure.Mike, the abudance of “B”‘s in my last name pretty much precludes any Billys or Bobbys. Although you have to admit, Billy Bob Bybee is a pretty cool name.
You have to name him Peyton! Honor your TN roots.
How about Alberto Ozzie Stan Bybee
We go next month to find out…here’s hoping for a boy! Can’t wait to hear the final decision!
As much as I like Ozzie Smith and Peyton Manning, I’m not really digging them as namesakes. Stan “the Man” Bybee has a ring to it, though.Jamey, hope everything goes well next month.
Kenny, I think Duper Shula Simpson would be a great name for a little boy.
hey if you’re staying with “J’s,” my son’s middle name is Justin. We had planned to name him Jeb until close to time – then we decided on Clint. It’s still one of my most favorite names.
I have a few J names I like, but I’m not crazy about the meaning of those names. We’re big “meaning” people, you know?
What about Ty? Ty Bybee is a great name.
His full name could be Tyrus Cobb Bybee. Solid.
I have always liked Jeremiah…The danger with that is the eventual nickname of Jerry!!! Or what about Micah? I’m sure you’ll pick something great! It is such a big decision…Good luck!
I also really like Jared.
I would not name him after any Hebrew Scripture prophets. Jeremiah is a great name (but, I would reconsider naming my kid after the “Weeping Prophet.” I feel like that would be a bad omen.) But, Habbakkuk has some potential…
Stacy,My sister’s youngest son is named Micah. I think it’s definitely a solid name.Roberto,I’m partial to Obadiah Bybee. I’m sure he’d be popular!Speaking of J names, I’ve always like Jasper for some reason. But Sunny hates it.
Cecile says to go with Seven Costanza Bybee
How about Locke?Hurley?Sawyer?Desmond!Desmond Bybee.
Very funny.
How about Alfonso Soriano
I’d sooner name him Harry Carry.
How cute!! I kinda like Desmond. Or, Stan the Man has a nice ring to it, too.Oh, and congrats on taking the lead over Johnny & the gang!
George Bybee?
I’m not really diggin’ George, Roxy!
