I’m Glad I Was Wrong

So I was going to blog about this today, but I never got around to it. Turns out Mike beat me to it.

So…yeah. What he said.

Sunny and I were watching this last night live. I kept saying, “He’s not going to catch him, he’s not going to catch him.” I know, call me Doubting Thomas. I’m glad I was wrong.

I said the exact same thing, just a few seconds before he did.

Alain is having a bad case of indigestion right about now. When I saw him starting to tie up after the final turn (and then Lezak’s incredible draft-enhanced surge) I thought maybe, just maybe…but I still didn’t believe it even when I saw it.I haven’t seen rigor mortis like that in the homestretch since Pre tied up in the final turn for home in the 5000 meter track final back in ’72.Everyone should go to Greg’s place and listen to the Seinfeld “silver medal” routine. Pitch perfect.

I instantly thought of the Seinfeld bit last night. Classic.
