Just when I start to feel a little self-righteous, you have to go and start quoting Jesus at me. You’re an ornery one, Eyeguy!Just kidding. And I hear you loud and clear. I have to admit, it was hard to not notice the camera crews here yesterday as we were trying to do a “good deed”. I guess I wrote this in the throes of a proud moment, though!
Well, there are many parts of the Sermon on the Mount that leave me with sore toes…The generosity and “stepping up” in this way are incredible and notable–you should feel bolstered by the response of so many put to so much good.I’m merely speaking from experience, having gone through the whole “media thing” with another congregation about 10 years ago. Media coverage is most definitely a two-edged sword, and it’s very easy to get cut.
